Q1: For those unfamiliar with you, tell us a little bit about yourself.
Helloo lovelies! I'm Zahra!! a teen writer and editor. In my account, I edit aesthetics from books, movies and etc. I have also introduced my work-in-progresses and characters there. In the coming future, I am also working on a writer blog for my wips (and the concept of the meraki-universe)
Q2:What inspired you to start writing and editing content?
I started out with a book and movies blog... but then transferred to editing after creating friends with the bookstagram editing community. So I started fresh and now have slowly improved in my editing account.
Writing has always been a passion of mine. I used to always imagine stories and currently have 6 main WIPs, along with different OCs (a concept known as the meraki-universe is where all my stories take place). Finally, I got the courage to introduce them and hopefully everyone loves them as much as I do <3
Q3:Are there any particular themes or messages you aim to covey through your writing?
Nothing specific. All of my writings show different branches of fantasy, which represent my love for fantasy, as it is a safe place for me and something in which I can really connect my soul with. I've always loved complex concepts that is not easy for an average human. My stories is what helps my soul get inner peace.
Q4:If you could spend a day with any fictional character you've created, who would it be and why?
Mostly Neria or Marcus from "The Chaos of Souls", as both these characters combined represents who I am. I have given most of my flaws and personality to them as they were my 1st OCs. Other than that I would also like to meet some characters that I cant reveal yet (or else its a spoiler) <3
Q5:What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know?
A fun fact on my personality- I am very indecisive. I can't choose or give an opinion, even if my life depends on it or even if I know the answer. Also, I never hold any expectations for anything so nothing can disappoint me, that's how I mostly stay optimistic!
Q6: Is there a particular hobby or skill you've always wanted to learn but haven't had the chance to yet?
Really want to start drawing or photography again. I feel both are like lost talents/ skills I used to have. I recently did start photography again, but I want to start drawing/ painting too.
Q7:How do you handles writer's block or creative slumps?
I rarely get writer block/ creative slump, as I usually have a brain dump of things and that Im always bored, so I just start imagining again. But if I do, I mostly try to sit in my garden, by nature as it helps. I also mostly rewatch the book/ reread the book (that inspired the idea) to see if I can get my brain working again
Q8:The one thing i cannot live without is:
One thing I cant live without: aside from parents, food, water and friends (we cant just go basic).... I cant live without, obviously, my imagination. This may sound cliché, but my stories and OCs are what help me with anxiety and whenever I need to charge my social battery. If I didn't had fantasy with me, I would have no where to keep my strong emotions and moments safe (away from reality).
