Me and Modelling:

I’ve been a signed model for about five years now. My journey began in the small province of Nova Scotia, Canada helping a few friends with creative school projects. Conveniently I had friends in photography, makeup, and fashion design courses who were always looking for models to help bring their ideas to life. I quickly fell in love with the process and gathered my confidence to go off on my own and join local photographer/model meet-up groups. Modeling, to many, may seem like a world of glamour and effortless beauty, but from my perspective, it's a disciplined science and a continuous practice that demands commitment and professionalism. Firstly, there's a science to understanding one's body, angles, and expressions. It involves learning how light and lens depth interact with different features, the geometry of poses that best accentuate the physique, and the art of conveying emotions through subtle shifts in expression. It’s as much of a science as it is an art, that I’m constantly exploring.
Growing up, I was always the quiet one, navigating the world with a shyness that seemed to define me. However, in modeling, I discovered an outlet for expressing different sides of myself. Modeling became my sanctuary, a space where I found my voice not in words, but in poses, expressions, and bringing new concepts into the world. I was able to embody sides of myself and new characters I was otherwise hesitant to show. These years of experience have given me more confidence, the time to know myself, and an endless pool of talent to collaborate with.

Fashion:

I’d say my ideal style to play around with when I’m not modeling is a dichotomy of flowy whimsical and light-alt gamer look. With the current state of fashion, it’s so hard to keep up. I’d say for up-and-coming models and trendsetters… follow your gut, don’t overlook the classics, and don’t be afraid to stand out. In a world where fast fashion trends come and go at the speed of a post, the pressure to keep up can be overwhelming. However, amidst this rapid turnover, there's beauty in embracing your unique style and doubling down on what you genuinely love. Trends may flicker, but personal preferences endure. Rather than succumbing to the fleeting allure of mass-produced styles, investing in pieces that resonate with your individual taste allows for a wardrobe that stands the test of time. So, in the hustle of fast fashion, I choose to slow down, prioritize quality over quantity, and double down on the pieces that bring joy and authenticity to my style.
